Human Resources Assistant
Job Description
In this role, the HR Assistant supports human resources operations within a healthcare setting, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, and recruitment to streamline processes and support strategic workforce planning.
Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition by supporting recruiting activities, sourcing candidates via ATS, conducting interviews, participating in career fairs, and developing innovative recruitment approaches.
- Coordinate orientation programs and onboarding to ensure a smooth and welcoming integration for new hires.
- Support performance management by gathering data, scheduling reviews, and maintaining precise records in HR filing systems.
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, workers compensation claims, and retirement plans using systems such as E-Navigator and ADP.
- Maintain compliance with employment and labor laws and OSHA regulations through proper documentation and record keeping.
- Handle data entry tasks related to HRIS systems, ensuring accuracy of employee records and workforce management data.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management on HR policies, conflict resolution, and organizational changes to promote a positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate and professional documentation across coaching sessions, one-on-one check-ins, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Participate on multiple committees, delivering relevant information to committee teams to support quality measures.
Requirements
- Previous administrative experience with a focus on human resources functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with human capital management filing systems, digital folders, and related domains enhances effectiveness in this role.
- Knowledge of employment and labor law, OSHA standards, and affirmative action planning is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in project management, change management initiatives, and strategic planning supports effective HR operations.
- Strong communication skills and experience with social media management or internal communications tools help foster engagement across teams.
- Experience conducting interviews, gathering data for employee surveys or evaluations, and supporting talent management initiatives is advantageous.

Schedule and Compensation
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Pay: USD 19.25 - 26.00 per hour
