Human Resources Coordinator
Job Description
The Human Resources Coordinator supports HR operations for 120+ staff at Self Help Movement, Inc. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This full-time role is primarily on-site with hybrid options and reports to the HR Director.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate employee records by handling data entry for new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments, while assisting with timesheet reviews to ensure a smooth payroll run under the Director's oversight.
- Coordinate interview scheduling, administer background checks, verify references, and lead compliant onboarding experiences for new team members.
- Serve as a primary contact for benefits questions, assist with leave of absence paperwork (FMLA/STD), and support the annual Open Enrollment process.
- Coordinate and track mandatory compliance training, health certifications, and professional development sessions using Relias.
- Maintain digital personnel files to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor standards and assist with organizational audits as needed.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in HR administration, assistant, or general corporate support roles.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now is highly preferred.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Strong communication, strict confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and a genuine interest in the behavioral healthcare and addiction recovery space.
