Human Resources Coordinator (Bilingual English/Spanish, ADP)
Job Description
Grower Direct Farms Inc is seeking a hands-on Human Resources Coordinator to support high-volume recruiting, onboarding, and HR operations for our greenhouse and field-based workforce. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this on-site role in Somers, CT focuses on getting talent hired, onboarded correctly, and supported throughout employment in a fast-paced agricultural environment.
Responsibilities
- Post openings, screen candidates, and arrange interviews
- Lead new-hire onboarding and orientation processes
- Prepare and manage new hire documentation and personnel files
- Ensure I-9 compliance and onboarding requirements are met
- Maintain accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now
- Respond to HR questions from employees and supervisors on policies, benefits, and payroll support
- Assist with offboarding and termination procedures
- Support benefits enrollment during open enrollment periods
- Oversee safety-related administrative tasks
- Serve as the primary contact for injury reporting and tracking
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements
- Assist with payroll processing and coordination as needed
- Support office operations during peak periods (phones, visitors, general admin tasks)
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in HR coordination, recruiting, or onboarding
- Current experience using ADP Workforce Now (or a similar HRIS/payroll system)
- Bilingual English/Spanish is required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
