Human Resources Generalist
Job Description
Home Care Services in Lawrence, MA is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to lead recruiting, onboarding, and ongoing employee management across multiple locations. This onsite role focuses on building a high-quality caregiver workforce while maintaining strict regulatory compliance within a fast-paced home care environment.
You will partner with branch managers to define roles, hiring needs, and recruitment strategies, while guiding HR operations for caregivers and administrative staff.
Salary
Salary: USD 55,000 - 65,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment across several locations and departments.
- Collaborate with branch managers to define roles, hiring needs, and recruitment strategies.
- Create, post, and manage job listings on platforms such as Indeed and MyCNA.
- Screen candidates, conduct pre-interviews, and coordinate the hiring process.
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines through diverse sourcing methods.
- Support and grow the employee referral program.
- Manage onboarding for caregivers and administrative staff.
- Ensure all pre-employment steps, background checks, and licensing are completed.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and healthcare regulations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate, compliant personnel files.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding communications.
- Assist with employee relations, performance, and disciplinary matters.
- Support employee reviews and performance management processes.
- Oversee field staff communications, including newsletters and benefit updates.
- Track licensure, training requirements, and renewal timelines.
- Input and maintain employee data within HRIS systems.
- Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs and workforce planning.
- Support benefits programs that enhance recruitment and retention.
- Stay current on industry trends and provide insight on hiring strategies.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of recruiting and onboarding experience, with home care or healthcare preferred.
- Experience supporting multiple hiring managers and/or locations.
- Strong ability to translate job requirements into effective hiring strategies.
- Hands-on experience with job boards such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
