Human Resources Generalist
Job Description

This Human Resources Generalist role in Glen Burnie, MD (with occasional remote arrangements) supports talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and HR process improvement while contributing to a strong, inclusive workplace.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for employee questions about HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace concerns.
- Foster positive employee relations through coaching, clear communication, and conflict resolution.
- Assist managers with performance concerns, corrective actions, and documentation.
- Promote an inclusive culture aligned with ADDMAN values.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning.
- Coordinate full cycle recruiting activities including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and offer coordination.
- Ensure a great employee experience throughout the lifecycle, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Support audits, reporting, and HR documentation requirements.
- Assist with policy development, updates, and employee handbook administration.
- Support benefits enrollment and changes and respond to benefits inquiries and issues.
- Assist with performance review processes and employee development initiatives.
- Help coordinate training and track participation.
- Contribute to HR initiatives focused on process improvement, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Assist with the implementation and optimization of HR systems and tools.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proven HR generalist experience with coaching and strategic consultation to business leaders.
- Strong interviewing and talent assessment capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication, with solid presentation skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong teamwork while able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to collaborate across a matrixed organization and navigate technology platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Management, or a related field.
- 1–3 years in an office environment; manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or similar designation is a plus.
