Job Description

Aspen Skiing Company seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee all HR functions on site in Aspen, CO.

Responsibilities

  • Identify applicable legal requirements and government reporting obligations for HR, ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting stay compliant.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes to fill open positions.
  • Design and deliver new employee orientations to align staff with company goals.
  • Maintain records and perform data entry for benefits participation, hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, and workforce statistics for internal reporting.
  • Coordinate management training on interviewing, hiring decisions, terminations, promotions, performance reviews, safety, and harassment prevention as needed.
  • Provide guidance to management on appropriate resolutions to employee relations issues.
  • Respond to inquiries about policies, procedures, and HR programs.
  • administer the performance review process to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and fairness.
  • Support the salary administration program to maintain equity and compliance.
  • Manage benefits programs including life, health, dental, disability coverage, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
  • Prepare separation notices and related documents, and conduct exit interviews to understand reasons for departures.
  • Represent the organization in personnel hearings and investigations.
  • Guide employees and managers through the leave of absence process, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and company leave policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a managerial HR role.

Work Environment

  • Primarily desk-based duties with periods of standing, typing, and computer work
  • No adverse or hazardous conditions
  • Occasional lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 25 pounds is preferred but not required
