Go-To Transport in Bay City, MI offers a full-time in-person Human Resources Manager role focused on strengthening people programs that support business strategy. You will help shape hiring, onboarding, performance, and talent management while advancing a positive workplace culture. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy and company objectives.
- Prepare, update, and recommend HR policies and procedures to keep practices current and effective.
- Maintain employee pay plans and benefits programs.
- Serve as a bridge between management and employees by addressing personnel demands, grievances, and related issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state requirements.
- Create and update job requirements and descriptions for all positions.
- Manage the prospective employee recruiting and selection process.
- Develop and facilitate onboarding and training programs that help new hires succeed.
- Provide decision support through HR metrics and reporting.
- Promote the safety and health of employees.
- Nurture a positive working environment through consistent HR leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree or HR certification preferred.
- At least 1-2 years of professional experience across various HR disciplines, with demonstrated knowledge of employment, benefits, compensation, employee relations, training and development, workers’ compensation, and conflict resolution.
- Proven knowledge of HR practices and employment legislation.
- Proven background in recruiting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience innovating and driving organizational change.
- Presentation and facilitation skills.
- Strong computer skills required.
- Experience using social media and new media to support organizational initiatives preferred.
