Job Description

Lead HR operations for KEYSTONE SOLUTIONS GROUP in Kalamazoo, MI, driving recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and employee relations across office and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment activities, including interviews and coordination of hiring for managerial, production, exempt, and professional roles; ensure candidates meet position qualification requirements
  • Provide leadership and day-to-day management of HR Coordinator staff, including setting priorities, assigning responsibilities, coaching and developing team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely, accurate HR execution
  • Manage new hire orientation and onboarding, introducing employees to corporate culture and following the onboarding plan
  • Administer employee benefit programs, including employee engagement programs
  • Manage STD, LTD, FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and Unemployment claims
  • Perform routine HR program administration, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Monitor compliance and management of Health Care Reform requirements and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Support the Safety Program in collaboration with Operations
  • Coach and guide leaders and managers on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, compliance, and reaching appropriate resolutions
  • Serve as a point of contact for team members on employment-related items
  • Answer inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Maintain and administer the Employee Handbook and related HR policies; regularly review and recommend updates to align with current federal, state, and local employment laws and Company practices; ensure policies are communicated and applied organization-wide
  • Oversee ADP payroll and timekeeping systems to ensure accurate, timely processing of employee information, time records, payroll changes, and related activities
  • Provide oversight and support to HR staff responsible for payroll and onboarding activities; act as backup for payroll processing as needed
  • Ensure integrity and accuracy of personnel files, timekeeping, and related HR records; maintain confidentiality and ensure records meet Company policy and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee maintenance of employee personnel files, CVs, qualifications, and required employment documentation, including oversight of retention and documentation requirements
  • Communicate through multiple channels to promote the position and company with strong networking and relationship-building
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working directly with employees
  • Promote company culture and open communication between employee goals and employer needs
  • Support team building activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, or 4+ years equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of Human Resource working experience
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working directly with employees
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Schedule and Work Environment

  • Monday through Friday; sometimes requiring extended work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to minimize interruption to production
  • Work environment includes office setting and manufacturing work cells and cleanroom environments
