Job Description
The Central Intelligence Agency seeks a Human Resources Officer to provide substantive guidance across HR functions such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, and staffing, partnering with senior managers to shape policies and strategies in the Washington, DC area.
Role Overview
As a Human Resources Officer, you will deliver substantive guidance across the full range of HR activities, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, staffing and selection, employee development, compensation, benefits, policy, performance management, rewards and recognition, and retention. You will collaborate with senior managers to develop, implement, and influence policies and plans aligned with CIA and Intelligence Community talent initiatives. The majority of your career will be based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, with the first four to six years focusing on building Agency and government knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform in a range of positions. Entry assignments may include Mission Centers, HR Transformation, or directorate HR offices, and you will have the opportunity to pursue global positions after successfully completing the HR Onboarding Program.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields: Human Resources or Human Capital Management; Business Administration or Business Management; Organizational Development; Public Administration; Psychology; Sociology
- GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Experience building interpersonal relationships
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Experience in problem solving, prioritization, time management, and workflow management
- Experience working with limited guidance and close interaction with colleagues
- Experience using information technology tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Knowledge of basic project management
- Ability to evaluate and apply HR business rules to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Ability to evaluate and recommend appropriate HR interventions
- Ability to learn HR Information Systems and other related HR databases or software
- Ability to meet minimum CIA requirements, including U.S. citizenship and a background investigation

Some examples of entry level offices include Mission Centers, HR Transformation, and directorate HR offices. You will have the opportunity to compete for global positions after successfully completing the HR Onboarding Program.
