Job Description

This role provides comprehensive support for people operations across workforce management, talent acquisition, employee development, and compliance, with an emphasis on streamlining HR processes within a healthcare setting.

Location and Work Arrangement

San Jose, California, with a hybrid work arrangement.

Compensation

Annual salary: USD 85,000

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with MSO and clinical leadership to source, screen, and coordinate recruitment for clinical, administrative, and operational roles.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain employee records in the HRIS and digital files throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide guidance to employees on the administration of People Operations programs, policies, and procedures; escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage guidance and oversight of benefits programs, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and other company benefits.
  • Support leadership on employee relations, leave administration, accommodation requests, investigations, and separations; coordinate with external HR consultants and legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Administer bi-weekly payroll and off-cycle pay requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with wage and hour rules; process deductions and benefit elections.
  • Participate in exit interviews, analyze data, and recommend improvements for continuous optimization.
  • Lead engaging new hire orientation and onboarding follow-ups for new team members.
  • Oversee leave-of-absence requests to ensure compliance and proper handling.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, candidate scheduling, applicant tracking, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding logistics.
  • Maintain employee personnel files, payroll records, I-9 documentation, and other employment-related records in accordance with policy and applicable laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years of related experience

Travel Requirements

Hybrid work with periodic travel to Bay Area clinic locations, including Monterey County.
