BRS offers a competitive salary of $68,000–$77,000 per year for this on-site position based in San Antonio, Texas, supporting the 502nd Civil Engineer Group at Joint Base San Antonio–Fort Sam Houston. The role requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field. Responsibilities

  • Provide career-field advisory support related to recruiting, career training, progression, and professional broadening.
  • Collaborate with 502nd Civil Engineer Group leadership and hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop effective recruiting approaches.
  • Coordinate the review, analysis, and updating of job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect organizational requirements.
  • Source and pre-screen prospective candidates, develop qualified candidate shortlists, and maintain timely communication with hiring stakeholders and applicants.
  • Identify and participate in job fairs, recruiting events, and other talent-sourcing activities.
  • Collect, analyze, and present workforce and recruiting data; track metrics such as time to hire, time to fill, and source of hire.
  • Conduct database research and data entry, interpret applicable policies and guidance, and prepare briefings, reports, correspondence, and other business documents.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field; relevant professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
  • Strong knowledge of Air Force, Army, and Department of Defense instructions and guidance related to personnel and career-field management.
  • Experience partnering with hiring managers and performing candidate sourcing, pre-screening, database entry, research, policy review and interpretation, briefing preparation, and report writing.
  • Experience using MPES, DCPDS, and other Air Force personnel databases.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal agency background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries adjudicated within the past two years, a current Common Access Card (CAC), and prior Air Force experience are preferred.
  • Self-motivated, outgoing, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
