Job Description

The Staff Talent Acquisition Specialist role sits within the Talent Services (HR) department and focuses on delivering high-quality candidates while managing the candidate experience from initial contact through hire. The position supports business staff hiring through sourcing, creative recruitment solutions, resume database searching, and applicant tracking system management in Workday.

Location and Employment Details

  • Location: New Jersey (hybrid)
  • Salary: USD 85,000 to 92,000 per year
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred

Role Responsibilities

  • Identify and attract potential candidates using sourcing channels such as job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Develop and place job advertisements across multiple media outlets.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and hiring workflow within the firm’s applicant tracking system (ATS), Workday.
  • Conduct candidate searches across resume databases.
  • Manage the end-to-end candidate experience from first contact through hire.
  • Strengthen GT’s online recruiting presence and build an ongoing talent pipeline.
  • Review applications and resumes, conduct initial interviews, schedule interviews, and provide updates to hiring managers throughout the process.
  • Ensure candidate, hiring manager, and recruiter experiences meet high service delivery standards.
  • Facilitate the hiring process and pre-employment activities, including preparing and negotiating offers and completing background/reference checks.
  • Analyze recruitment metrics and costs, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Support additional department activities as needed and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to use social media and alternative sourcing methods to identify top-quality candidates.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including oral and written communication, with a professional demeanor and presentation skills.
  • Ability to deliver outstanding client service while meeting high quality standards, including proactively seeking innovative solutions.
  • Skill in building and maintaining effective working relationships at all levels and collaborating as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to recognize confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Self-starter capability, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum five to seven years recruiting experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • LinkedIn Certification Professional is a plus.
  • Experience designing and executing creative, low-cost sourcing strategies.
  • Prior experience servicing remote customers is a plus.
  • Highly skilled with applicant tracking systems, preferably Workday.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based tools and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional computer skills with the ability to learn new software applications quickly.
  • Understanding of AI capabilities, limitations, and responsible use in a professional environment.
  • Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, firm-approved AI tools such as Copilot or ChatGPT to support daily workflow and/or improve work quality.

Compensation

Expected pay range (New Jersey only): $85,000 - $92,000 per year.

Physical Requirements
