Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
MERTZ INTEGRATION LLC is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist for our Human Resources team in Ponca City, OK (onsite). In this full-time, hourly, non-exempt role, you will support hiring goals by managing recruiting workflows end to end, using ATS tools and HR systems to keep candidates moving and teams informed.
Responsibilities
- Execute full life cycle recruiting and related employment activities, including onboarding support, assessments, disciplinary actions, and transfer coordination for field employees.
- Create and manage requisitions, review job specifications, develop screening questions, and determine interview approaches.
- Screen and assess applicants for skill level and role fit, then route candidates appropriately through the process.
- Coordinate candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and job offers, including planning drug tests and background screenings.
- Build and maintain relationships with schools to support an internal employee pipeline and provide educational support for internal programs.
- Participate in career fairs, sourcing events, and recruiting projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the Recruiting Manager to develop recruiting strategy for assigned projects.
- Serve as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates to understand priorities, goals, and hiring needs.
- Attend recruitment events, job fairs, and conferences as needed.
- Maintain and process employee and candidate data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidates and job stage progress.
- Handle operational and administrative components of the hire process, including background checks, setup of drug screens and health screens, and I9 & E-Verify compliance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support successful operations and business continuity.
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Proficiency in spoken English language.
- In-person role requiring predictable attendance.
What You Bring
- High School Diploma
- 3-5 years of human resource management and/or progressive talent acquisition experience required.
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
- Paycom experience is highly desirable.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn HRIS and talent management systems.
Work Schedule and Logistics
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm
- Travel: Less than 25%

Work Environment
- Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, and squat/kneel.
- Works primarily indoors, with prolonged sitting and computer work.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- May be required to lift heavy objects; must be able to lift 25 lbs.
- Work hours may include early mornings, late afternoons/evening hours, and weekends based on job demands.
