Job Description

Parkside Hospital is hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead recruitment for an inpatient psychiatric hospital. This onsite role in Tulsa, OK partners closely with leadership to plan and execute hiring strategies across clinical, non-clinical, and support positions while maintaining compliance and strong candidate experience.

Role Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage full-cycle recruiting, from requisition approval through onboarding, with a focus on attracting and evaluating qualified candidates. Responsibilities include building talent pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, coordinating selection steps with hiring managers and clinical leadership, and ensuring recruitment documentation and ATS records remain current and accurate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment process, starting with requisition approval and ending with onboarding.
  • Design and implement sourcing strategies to attract candidates for nursing, behavioral health, therapy, medical, administrative, and support roles.
  • Post and maintain job advertisements across job boards, social media, healthcare-specific recruitment sites, and other sourcing channels.
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines for hard-to-fill and critical positions.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, college career events, community outreach programs, and professional networking events.
  • Screen resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews to evaluate qualifications, experience, and organizational fit.
  • Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and clinical leadership.
  • Facilitate candidate assessments, reference checks, background screenings, and credential verification.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • For clinical roles, verify professional licenses, certifications, education, and employment history.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare regulations.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and applicant tracking system (ATS) records.
  • Support accreditation and regulatory needs related to personnel records and hiring practices.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to understand staffing needs, vacancy trends, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Track recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate quality, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase recruitment efficiency and support workforce stability.
  • Support retention initiatives through candidate engagement and onboarding best practices.
  • Promote the hospital’s mission, values, culture, and employee value proposition.
  • Assist with new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Create recruitment marketing materials and support social media content to attract qualified talent.
  • Build relationships with nursing schools, universities, behavioral health programs, and community organizations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • Experience recruiting healthcare professionals, behavioral health staff, or clinical personnel preferred.
