Talent Acquisition Specialist
Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Meaden & Moore supports the firm’s recruiting priorities with a primary focus on a dedicated service line, while also assisting with support services searches and other departmental hiring needs. This hybrid role in Cleveland, OH involves candidate sourcing, high-volume pipeline management, pre-screening interviews, and accurate recordkeeping in the applicant tracking system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting activity for an assigned service line, and support support services searches and other departmental recruiting needs as directed by the Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager, service line leaders, office leads, and department stakeholders to understand hiring needs, role priorities, search expectations, and candidate profiles.
- Oversee high-volume recruiting searches by maintaining organized pipelines, tracking candidate activity, balancing competing priorities, and keeping searches moving forward.
- Proactively source, engage, and screen active and passive candidates using tools and channels including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, networking, social media, professional associations, and other sourcing strategies.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs within the assigned service line and other areas of the firm.
- Conduct pre-screening interviews via phone, video, or in person to evaluate qualifications, interest level, compensation expectations, location preferences, and overall fit with firm needs.
- Represent the Meaden & Moore brand, culture, and career opportunities, including the service line-specific value proposition, when engaging prospective candidates.
- Ensure timely, professional follow-up with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders throughout the recruiting process.
- Use the firm’s applicant tracking system to maintain complete and accurate candidate profiles, activity notes, requisition details, and search updates.
- Assist with recruitment strategy, sourcing plans, workforce planning, search prioritization, process improvement initiatives, and other recruiting projects.
- Maintain recruiting documents, dashboards, trackers, requisition priority lists, Predictive Index Job Targets, and other tools that support recruiting operations and planning.
- Maintain relationships with professional organizations, state accounting societies, universities, referral sources, and networking groups to support talent acquisition efforts.
- Support fair and equitable hiring practices and partner with the DEI Committee or other internal groups to attract qualified talent from a variety of sources.
- Independently identify potential recruiting challenges, recommend next steps, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain alignment with the Talent Acquisition Manager.
- Provide additional support with human resources projects and administrative functions as needed to meet firm needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms for sharing position information.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from candidates and colleagues at all levels.
- Skills in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a self-starter and team member.
- Ability to prioritize and meet established deadlines.
- Flexible, positive, can-do attitude.
- Experience managing high-volume recruiting pipelines, including sourcing for multiple active roles and maintaining diligent follow-up.
- Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates and communicate employer brand, team culture, and role opportunity.
- Strong judgment and initiative, with appropriate collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Manager and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or SHRM PHR.
- SHRM Talent Acquisition Credential.
- Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.

Compensation and Work Location
- Location: Cleveland, OH (hybrid)
- Salary: USD 72,000 - 81,000 per year
