Job Description

This onsite HR administrative specialist role in Collins, MS focuses on data entry and reporting in Workday HCM, supporting HR and Operations with data integrity, systems management, training, and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Input employee self service data, rehire statuses, and a range of transactions (job changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, mass pay adjustments) into the Workday system or other databases with accuracy, completeness, and correct formatting to align with company guidelines and applicable laws.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees, corporate HRIS, and plant leadership on Workday data, transactions, and system inquiries.
  • Investigate data input discrepancies or missing entries and resolve them, escalating unresolved items to the appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Compile and distribute data for required HR or Operations metrics reports (headcount, absenteeism, turnover, referrals, etc.) in a timely manner to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the location's messaging system (Trumpia or similar) to support communications.
  • Manage the unemployment process, researching requirements and submitting documents to ensure complete data in the applicable system.
  • Provide training for supervisors and managers on Workday HCM functionality as required.
  • Validate I-9 information, verify right to work documents, certify I-9 for new hires (Section 2) and recertify right to work status with supporting documents as needed (Section 3).
  • Complete and validate WOTC Section 2 for all new hires.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency, communicating recommended improvements.
  • Support safety initiatives and promote PPE usage as required, contributing to a zero accident culture.
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least three years of experience in a human resources environment.
  • Experience using HCM systems, preferably Workday.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related applications; familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS is preferred.
  • Clear written and verbal English communication with internal and external customers; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, exercise tact and discretion, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and urgency; thrives in a fast paced environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
