Job Description

Based in Arcadia, California, Nventric, Inc. is seeking a hands-on, on-site Human Resources & Payroll Specialist to manage HR administration, payroll processing, and employee support in a small, fast-paced environment. This role combines HRIS management, compliance, benefits coordination, and general business support to keep operations organized and compliant. The position is onsite in Arcadia and carries a rate of USD 34 per hour, requiring at least five years of hands-on HR and payroll experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time
  • Manage payroll-related items including PTO tracking, deductions, garnishments, and timekeeping records
  • Maintain accurate employee records, HR documentation, and compliance files
  • Administer onboarding, offboarding, employee changes, and related HR processes
  • Support benefits administration including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and workers’ compensation programs
  • Assist with leave administration including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA accommodations, and related documentation
  • Help ensure compliance with California and federal employment regulations
  • Maintain HR policies, employee handbook updates, required postings, and internal procedures
  • Support employee relations matters, workplace investigations, performance documentation, and corrective action processes
  • Serve as a professional and confidential resource for employees and managers
  • Coordinate with external vendors including payroll providers, benefits brokers, insurance carriers, and consultants
  • Maintain HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and data integrity
  • Assist with continued implementation, administration, and optimization of Rippling HRIS/payroll platform
  • Generate reports, maintain digital records, and support internal process improvements
  • Troubleshoot HR/payroll system issues and assist employees with system-related questions
  • Support implementation and administration of additional business software platforms as needed
  • Assist with recruiting coordination, resume screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding logistics
  • Support general office administrative functions and special projects as needed
  • Assist with various business support tasks in a collaborative small business environment
  • Provide additional organizational support to leadership and management teams when necessary

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR and payroll experience
  • Experience processing payroll using systems such as Rippling, ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of California employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Strong technical aptitude and comfort working across multiple software platforms simultaneously
  • Experience serving as an administrator or power user for HRIS, payroll, benefits, or business systems
  • Ability to quickly learn, troubleshoot, and adapt to new software platforms and digital workflows
  • Highly proficient with computer systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and cloud-based business software
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working fully on-site in Arcadia, California
