Job Description

This onsite Recruiter role covers full life-cycle recruitment for Insurance and Operations positions across the United States and Bermuda, leveraging strategic sourcing and close stakeholder partnerships to attract top talent and deliver a strong candidate experience. Based in Wauwatosa, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a recruitment strategy for all non-exempt roles within the Insurance divisions across the U.S. and Bermuda, prioritizing a robust talent pipeline to meet current and future staffing needs.
  • Lead full life-cycle recruitment for non-exempt hires, including sourcing, screening and assessment, candidate submissions, managing the interview process, and negotiating offers on behalf of Markel.
  • Administer assessments for selected candidates.
  • Provide regular updates and alignment with hiring teams and HR business partners.
  • Utilize the company EVP to implement marketing strategies aligned with State National's brand, vision and core values to attract diverse, high-quality talent.
  • Leverage networking, Workday Recruiter, social media, job boards, employee referrals, search engine optimization and LinkedIn recruiting tools to build pipelines and hire top talent.
  • Represent Markel as an employer of choice at local career fairs and college campuses.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years in recruiting, sourcing, or high-volume sales, with a preference for candidates experienced in non-exempt/hourly or call center operations recruiting.
  • Prior experience supporting insurance or financial services recruiting is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct all aspects of talent search, including leveraging AI tools, internet search optimization, innovative sourcing programs, networking, pre-screening, offer negotiations and candidate relationship management.
  • Proficiency with a range of sourcing techniques and platforms, including AI tools, Boolean search, market research, LinkedIn Recruiter and social media.
  • Strong client service orientation and candidate relationship management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, with Workday experience preferred.
  • Ability to understand and apply applicable federal, state and local laws.
