Talent Acquisition Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support hiring needs primarily in the United States with occasional assignments in Canada.
• Apply recruiting expertise to fill roles across Engineering, IT, Operations, Business Development, Financial Services, and Cybersecurity.
• Proactively develop staffing strategies and identify alternative methods to attract candidates for open positions.
• Collaborate professionally with other HR team members, including Recruiters, Coordinators, HR Business Partners, Compensation, and HR management at multiple levels.
• Provide weekly updates on openings via standardized reporting and live sessions with management and Human Resources.
• Oversee openings from requisition creation through offer creation and acceptance, with all activities conducted in the ATS.
• Serve as a talent acquisition partner to assigned departments and learn how talent acquisition impacts operations.
• Occasionally partner with College Recruiting to attract recent graduates and interns.
• Travel occasionally to events such as college recruiting and industry career fairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least four (4) years of recruiting experience preferred.
• Proven ability to source passive candidates using tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and similar platforms.
• Experience with an Applicant Tracking System, preferably Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC).
• Experience managing up to 25 requisitions concurrently in a corporate environment preferred.
• Experience sourcing passive candidates to fill difficult-to-fill roles.
• Comfortable using AI tools to assist with sourcing and interviewing candidates.

Schedule and Location

The position offers a hybrid schedule with in-office days Tuesday through Thursday. Monday and Friday provide the option to work remotely or from the office. The role is based at ABS's modern corporate headquarters in Spring, Texas.

Reporting Relationships

The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports to a senior-level manager and has no direct reports. The role requires collaboration with the TA team and occasional briefings to HR leadership as needed.

Working Conditions

The work environment is an air-conditioned office setting with typical sedentary duties, including talking on the phone, reading from a computer monitor, and typing. The role may involve lifting up to 10 pounds and occasional travel to recruiting events, with some overnight travel possible on advance notice.
