Job Description

J. Polep Distribution Services relies on a well-structured driver network to keep its 13 distribution sites operating smoothly. This onsite role in Chicopee, MA focuses on recruiting, screening, onboarding, and driver compliance for Class A, Class B, and non-CDL drivers, with occasional travel to locations and events to support hiring initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, screen, and hire Class A, Class B, and non-CDL drivers
  • Manage applicant pipelines using Tenstreet and other recruiting platforms
  • Maintain job postings and cultivate relationships with driving schools and recruiting partners
  • Coordinate interviews, background checks, drug screens, and onboarding requirements
  • Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding activities
  • Track driver licenses, medical cards, and other compliance-related documentation
  • Maintain records in Tenstreet, Paycom, Geotab, and other transportation systems
  • Support transportation leadership with driver compliance, evaluations, and recruiting initiatives
  • Travel periodically to company locations, recruiting events, and driving schools as needed, including occasional Saturday work

Requirements

  • Experience in recruiting, HR, transportation, logistics, or related fields preferred
  • Driver recruiting or transportation recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Tenstreet, Paycom, Geotab, or similar systems preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations is a plus
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a sense of urgency throughout the hiring process
  • CDL experience or CDL license is a plus

Pay

$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
