Employee Experience Officer - Human Resources
Job Description
Onsite in Pittsburgh, PA, this role leads the Employee Experience Center of Excellence, focusing on employee relations, performance improvement, and post-hire development.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates alignment with the bank's Mission and Vision and upholds pledge values.
- Manages employee relations matters, guides policy interpretation, and escalates complex cases to the appropriate team for resolution.
- Partners with managers to design and implement performance improvement plans to address underperformance and support professional development.
- Ensures adherence to workplace environmental standards and addresses health, safety, and sustainability concerns.
- Responds to inquiries about annual compensation processes, performance evaluations, and related HR programs.
- Leads deep-dive talent reviews and collaborates on workforce planning to align talent with organizational goals.
- Supports business leaders to enhance employee engagement by contributing to action plans based on survey results.
- Coordinates HR activities during building closures, including communications and employee support.
- Provides guidance on general HR topics such as benefits, payroll, and policy questions.
- Facilitates employee listening sessions to gather feedback and fosters an open, inclusive workplace culture.
- Represents the organization in unemployment hearings and ensures regulatory compliance.
- Handles employment verification requests from prospective employers of former employees.
- Manages resignation processes, conducts exit interviews, and evaluates counteroffer strategies when appropriate.
- Responds to phone and email inquiries and delivers timely resolutions.
- Escalates issues as needed to meet service level expectations.
- Acts as a backup to other team members when necessary.
- Collaborates with the HRIS or IT teams to resolve escalated HRIS or application issues.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or a minimum of 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Human Resources experience, with Employee Relations experience preferred.
- Leadership skills are preferred.
- HR certification is preferred.
