Human Resource Manager (Long Term Care Experience Required)
Job Description
This position supports human resources operations in a Brooklyn long-term care facility, with responsibilities spanning staffing, payroll liaison, benefits coordination, recruitment, and general HR administration. Prior nursing home HR experience is required.

Compensation
USD 80,000 - 95,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain precise staffing schedules for the nursing department
- Serve as the liaison between the facility and the payroll team to ensure accurate timecards and payroll processing
- Coordinate employee benefits with appropriate administrators
- Manage front desk operations and supervise front desk staff
- Ensure onboarding complies with Department of Labor and Department of Health requirements for new hires, including background checks, reference verification, and timekeeping setup
- Lead recruitment activities, assess staffing needs, screen applicants, and conduct interviews
- Participate in management meetings as needed
- Support team objectives by taking on additional tasks as required
- Administer core HR duties such as disciplinary actions, updating payroll statuses, terminations, resignations, and retirements in coordination with department leaders
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Prior HR experience within a nursing home setting
- Experience in human resources or staffing is required
- A degree or formal training in HR is strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of HR processes and administration
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication skills
