Job Description

Onsite in Newbury Park, CA, California Dermatology Institute offers a competitive compensation package with a salary range of $80,000–$85,000 per year. You will act as a key liaison between management and employees, driving HR initiatives, strengthening employee relations, and supporting talent development in a compliant, patient-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees through ATS such as iCIMS or Taleo.
  • Oversee employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are integrated smoothly into the organization.
  • Administer employee evaluation and performance management systems, supporting managers with feedback and development plans.
  • Handle employee relations issues with professionalism, employing conflict management skills to resolve concerns effectively.
  • Maintain HRIS systems to ensure accurate data collection, entry, and reporting.
  • Coordinate benefits administration activities including health plans, workers’ compensation claims, and leave management such as FMLA.
  • Support change management initiatives by assisting with organization design, strategic planning, and succession planning efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Organizational Development
  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Certified Professional) certification a plus
  • Experience in fast-paced health care environment
  • Paychex and/or ADP experience preferred
  • 2–5+ years of experience in varied HR roles
  • Deep knowledge of California-specific employment laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS, such as PaychexFlex
  • Strong employee relations, talent acquisition (recruitment), onboarding, benefits administration, and performance management
