Job Description

D.R. Horton is hiring a Division Human Resource Coordinator to support division-level Human Resources operations and act as a liaison between corporate and the division. This onsite role focuses on HR administration, new hire processing, orientation, payroll-related coordination, compensation administration, and ongoing employee support for benefits and HR policies.

Role Overview

The Division Human Resource Coordinator ensures HR processes are completed accurately and in alignment with company requirements. The position supports new hire lifecycle activities, coordinates employee setup with Corporate IT, assists managers with policy awareness, and helps maintain internal HR infrastructure such as the division organizational chart. The role also provides support in payroll review workflows, manages components of worker’s compensation administration, and serves as a point of contact for employee questions.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all HR regulations.
Support new hire processing and coordinate new employee set up with Corporate IT.
Assist managers by communicating relevant company policies tied to management responsibilities.
Conduct new hire orientation both in person and virtually using Microsoft Teams.
Assist with division payroll by reviewing, correcting, and obtaining approval of employee timesheets.
Process salary increases, bonuses, commissions, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Administer the worker’s compensation process for the division.
Assist with training staff.
Answer employee questions related to benefits and HR policies.
Maintain the division organizational chart.
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and support company goodwill and profitability.
Work overtime as needed.
Travel overnight as required.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
One to three years of related experience and/or training (minimum experience listed: 1 years).
Ability to handle confidential information.
Proficiency with MS Office and email.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support for club HR operations and assigned hiring processes.

Administer personnel paperwork, including new hire documentation, hourly wage increases, hourly promotions, terminations, and support for worker’s compensation and unemployment claims.
Support club talent acquisition by maintaining the in-club hiring table and recruitment marketing materials to “GOLD” standards, communicating team member referral program availability, and partnering with local community organizations.
Conduct benefit orientations and support communication for annual benefits open enrollment.
Process LOAs in coordination with the LOA Specialist and outside vendor, address LOA/WC questions and issues, communicate with Home Office and relevant vendors, and log incidents into Alert/LPMS.
Maintain team member personnel and medical files, handle confidential information appropriately, and answer team member questions or direct them to the right company resources.
Handle non-complex team member relations matters or escalate issues to the assigned manager as needed.
Gather ordering information and input Aruba orders.
Maintain “GOLD” standard presentation of the breakroom and HR office area daily, support team member recognition and engagement events as assigned, and keep HR communication boards updated.
Ensure legal compliance postings are current, complete HR self-audits for the club operational audit, attend meetings via broadcast/Zoom with the Regional HR Business Partner and designated Home Office participants, and perform additional administrative tasks as required.
Follow and maintain club policies and procedures, including working in other departments as needed.
Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance, which is essential to the role.
