Legacy Manufacturing is seeking a dynamic and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead HR initiatives across talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. This onsite role in Marion, IA anchors the company’s people operations and supports growth by fostering a compliant, engaged, and high-performing workforce. As a key member of the leadership team, you will shape policies, develop programs, and drive change across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition by developing sourcing strategies, managing applicant tracking systems (ATS), conducting interviews, and onboarding new employees with comprehensive orientation programs.
- Oversee employee evaluation processes, performance management systems, and training & development initiatives to promote continuous growth and skill enhancement.
- Manage employee relations by addressing concerns promptly, mediating conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment aligned with company values.
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, workers' compensation, FMLA compliance, and other employee benefits to ensure regulatory adherence and employee satisfaction.
- Develop and implement HR policies in compliance with employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, affirmative action planning, and HR legal standards.
- Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms such as Workday or SAP SuccessFactors for data collection, reporting, payroll processing, and HR analytics to support strategic decision-making.
- Drive organizational design initiatives including succession planning, workforce management strategies, change management projects, and department restructuring to optimize operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in human capital management (HCM), human resources management, and organizational design.
- Proven ability in talent acquisition, recruiting strategies using ATS tools like iCIMS or Lever, and onboarding processes.
- Strong knowledge of employment law in talent management, HR legal compliance, FMLA regulations, OSHA standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in HR systems such as Workday, Oracle HCM, UltiPro (Ultimate Software), Paychex, Kronos or Dayforce for payroll processing and data analysis.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage conflict resolution effectively and foster positive employee relations.
- Skilled in project management techniques for implementing HR initiatives like performance management systems or benefits programs.
- Adept at data entry, Excel data analysis for reporting purposes, social media management for employer branding efforts, and administrative experience supporting HR functions.
