Summit Companies seeks a Talent Acquisition Specialist for an onsite role in Oklahoma, offering USD 28 to 33 per hour. The position focuses on building relationships with department managers, sourcing candidates for both non-exempt and exempt roles, and educating partners on recruitment processes and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies targeting skilled trades.
- Maintain job posting systems in collaboration with the manager.
- Publish initial job openings.
- Review postings after management input.
- Evaluate candidates.
- Distribute candidate pools as assigned.
- Coordinate interview schedules between interviewers and candidates.
- Recruit and source passive and active candidates via social media marketing, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, phone outreach, and by monitoring posting pipelines.
- Build a diverse, multi skilled talent pipeline to support growth and field operations.
- Use Applicant Tracking Software (ATS) to support recruitment and database maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with managers and candidates at all stages, including facilitating offers and obtaining acceptances.
- Ensure timely interviewing practices; participate in interviews as needed.
- Adhere to Talent Acquisition processes established by the manager and propose improvements where appropriate.
- Assist with the organization, execution, and communication of pre-employment procedures.
- Represent the organization at approved career and job fairs as required.
- Stay informed on local, state, and national rules and regulations related to talent acquisition, recruitment, and labor laws.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience recruiting passive and active candidates in a human resources or staffing agency environment is required.
- Two or more years of experience recruiting for skilled trades positions strongly preferred.
- Critical evaluation skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment required.
- Fire protection industry knowledge is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate's and/or bachelor's degree preferred.
