Job Description

Compensation and Location

Key Responsibilities

Assist in administering and implementing human resources programs at the facility.
Support staffing functions by identifying recruitment sources, participating in recruitment activities, advising prospective applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, requesting certificates of eligible candidates, and preparing requests for security clearances.
Provide assistance in administering employee relations matters, including the incentive awards program, the performance evaluation program, and the leave administration program.

Provide advisory services to a wide range of employees.
Offer guidance to timekeepers, employees, managers, and supervisors on leave regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required.
Selective Service registration is required; see http://www.sss.gov.
CTAP or ICTAP eligibility and appropriate documentation for selection priority.
GL-05 education: Four-year bachelor's degree.
GL-07 education: One year of graduate-level education or superior academic achievement.
GL-05 experience: Three years of general experience, one year of which was equivalent to at least the next lower grade level.
GL-07 experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level; examples include prioritizing tasks, knowledge of federal personnel principles, responding to HR inquiries, and maintaining logs/reports/tracking systems.
Combination of Education and Experience: A blend of education and experience to meet major duties; credit may be given for paid or unpaid experience.
Ability to communicate orally.
Ability to communicate in writing.
Ability to interpret and apply policy.
Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Ability to plan and organize work.
