Service Pros Installation Group is seeking an Area Installation Recruiting Specialist to lead flooring installer recruiting, training, and performance across a defined multi-state territory. This is a field-based role based in Waldorf, MD, with regular travel and ongoing support for the Loweβs flooring customer experience through store visits and in-home measurement activities.
You will manage recruiting and onboarding end to end, use reporting to improve hiring efficiency and quality, and work closely with field and workroom teams to support retention and customer satisfaction. The position is salaried and exempt, full-time, with a pay range of USD 62,000 to 66,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment of flooring installers across an assigned multi-state territory using the ADVanced Insights Team tool and other targeted sourcing methods.
- Review applicant and hiring manager survey data to improve recruiting efficiency and quality of hire in the flooring installation marketplace.
- Negotiate installer cost structures that fit local flooring market rates and Service Prosβ cost model.
- Maintain knowledge of the contractor marketplace, including competitor activity, installer availability, and regional pricing trends.
- Design and deliver structured onboarding and training for newly contracted flooring installers so they represent Service Pros and Loweβs with professionalism and skill.
- Provide sales training support to installers, focusing on product knowledge and communication skills that strengthen customer relationships and satisfaction scores.
- Complete in-home flooring measurement training and perform measurements as needed ($30.00 piece rate per measurement).
- Partner with the workroom team to develop and implement installer retention and appreciation initiatives that reduce turnover and support long-term loyalty.
- Conduct targeted Loweβs Home Improvement store visits to evaluate and strengthen the installer and Loweβs relationship.
- Act as the primary point of contact for installers in your territory, supporting trust and open communication across the field team.
- Use KPIs, data reporting, and performance metrics to monitor gross profit margins and customer experience benchmarks, taking proactive action when trends require it.
- Support consistently strong customer satisfaction scores across the territory.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; 3 to 5 years of related experience in talent acquisition, field operations, or customer service management preferred.
- Proven ability to lead situationally by motivating and aligning people around organizational goals and shared expectations.
- Experience in large, multi-site or multi-state environments with competing priorities and diverse stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with entry-level installers, store managers, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, email, and word processing software, including comfort using reporting tools and data to drive decisions.
- Sound mathematical reasoning for cost modeling, pricing analysis, and evaluating performance metrics.
- Valid driverβs license and ability to meet company driving and insurance coverage requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 75% across a multi-state territory.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs. and perform in-home measurements as needed.
